All-New Triton achieves maximum five-star ANCAP safety

Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited (MMAL) is proud to confirm its All-New Triton Dual-Cab Utility has achieved the maximum five-star ANCAP safety rating, tested to the latest – and most stringent – 2024 protocols. The five-star rating is applicable to all Triton Dual-Cab model grades, across 4 x 2 and 4 x 4 drivetrains.

“To be the first Dual Cab Utility to achieve the stringent 2024 five-star ANCAP safety rating is testament to this, and proves how serious Mitsubishi is about safety.

“This builds on the significant enhancements All-New Triton embodies, from its more powerful and responsive engine and 3.5-tonne towing capacity to its roomier, more comfortable interior and cutting-edge infotainment

“We are also proud of how closely the MMC and MMAL teams have worked on this project from the outset. To now see the results of that collaboration – from steering and suspension tuning to ensuring five-star ANCAP safety – is truly impressive,” he said.

In introducing its five-star rating, ANCAP referenced Triton’s extensive airbag installations, including dual frontal, side chest-protecting and side head-protecting, driver’s knee, and centre airbags. These are fitted as standard across the range.

ANCAP also mentioned the extensive active safety suite, including AEB (car-to-car, Vulnerable Road User, junction and backover), as well as the lane support system with Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning and speed sign recognition.
